Happy Thanksgiving! I am incredibly thankful today. I (finally) got my sweet boys and good friends here (after quite the car drama) and Wasabi is ok (I think) after chewing the stitches out of one foot yesterday and having to be restitched - only to do it again today!! (Bastid!) I got a three mile walk in yesterday and a mile-ish run in this morning. (Today's run started as a fiver but after a fight with my lovely girl, I bagged the run and came home to cook. We're all good now. I guess there's an upside to blowing off the holiday steam as early in the day as possible.) Here's our menu:
Fabulous stuffed turkey (tofurkey for the vegetarian daughter)
Glazed ham
Dressing
Cranberry jelly
Spinach gruyere
Sage and wine braised carrots
Green bean casserole
Mashed potatoes (with insane amounts of cream and butter)
Shrimp grits
Homemade gravy (on the sinful side)
Rolls (as if we needed more carbs!!)
Chess Pie
French Silk Pie
Coffee (with all kinds of fixings - including the traditional Irish add-ins)
Oh my goodness - I'm going to need that five miler tomorrow!! Peace y'all!

Happy Thanksgiving {hugs}!!
Happy Thanksgiving. We're all gonna' need to get out and move our bodies after the gluttony today. :-)
That looks like a yummy menu - Happy "day after" Thanksgiving!
I was supposed to run yesterday too, but decided to to that today :-)
Happy Friday! I am still on unstructured training so I don't have to do a damn thing today. This makes me smile. :-)
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Sounds like a wonderful spread! I am so glad you got to spend some time with all of your babies!
I am sorry to hear about your pooch's run in with the window and subsequent chewing of sutures. Hopefully he is on the mend now.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I know our schedules have to let up soon, right? Take care
Looks like it was a great menu. Those sage and wine braised carrots sound excellent.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and got that run in ;-)
