It is SUCH a Monday here!My day has included rain, cleaning up muddy dogs, cleaning up pee puddles after a puppy with a UTI, a fight with my lovely but crabby partner, finding and spilling a broken thermometer, spending TWO HOURS methodically and meticulously cleaning up microscopic beads of mercury, and as a fitting endcap - drama with a middle schooler who got left at school because she decided to clean her locker AFTER being told the carpool was leaving. Said middle schooler then, instead of walking home, cried in the guidance office until one of the teachers offered to drive her home. Please note: we live .4 mi from school, it was no longer raining, and walking home is something she does almost every day. I have no idea why she had a melt down and couldn't walk home. It would have taken her 7 minutes. But nooooooooo, she decided to wait with the kind teacher for FORTY minutes so she could be driven. Take one guess as to whether or not the middle schooler called me at any point in this process. If you guess that one right, you will probably also guess who was driving up and down the route she was supposed to have walked and who was scouring the school looking for her. (I think every parent has secret (or not-so-secret) and specific fears for their kids. Having a child go missing is mine.) Irritation, frustration, adrenalin, anger, relief, fatigue - it's a regular smorgasbord of fun here!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.Have not trained. Have not written. Am currently stomping around in my grumpy pants. Hope to have something else to wear tomorrow!

Aren't teenagers wonderful? You obviously don't understand that there is no more important person on the face of the earth than a teenager! Duh! You just don't get it! You're not fair! You're ruining my life! etc...
Hang in there, go for a run and take some time to relax. Your teenager is OK and that's what's important. If thinking that way doesn't work, try Whiskey, it's always worked for me!
Sorry you're having such a bad day. Maybe you should pick up those knitting needles tonight. :p
Are your grumpy pants pink? If so wear them tomorrow again and maybe this time they will make you smile!
Willie is correct-teenagers are the only people on PLANET EARTH! My son is the same-self absorbed in himself and his things! He loves me and his family-but they really are self-centered lovely beasts!!!
Keep smiling!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
Hope today is better on all fronts.
Oh, I know that feeling of worrying that your child is missing! My son and his friend decided one day it would be fun to take the "long way" home from school...I was frantic!
I love the grumpy puppy picture! It looks like our shih tzu when she was little :)
Hope today is going much better for you.
