I think I'm getting the hang of it!! This week I've done both of my "short" runs (3.5 miles - which didn't seem remotely short to me not so long ago) and I'm not terrified of the seven miler this weekend. Also, I ran with no walk breaks. Granted my pace is slow. I'm ok with that for now. As long as it feels smooth and solid, I'm happy with it. It did occur to me to panic about the fact that the San Francisco Half Marathon is a month from today. But then my iPod went from Nine Inch Nails to the B-52's "Rock Lobster" and I got to giggling about what a weird transition that is. I forgot to go back and panic.
I'll leave you with only that quickie for today. (My only hope of clearing my reader any time soon is to implement a temporary policy of more read, less type!)
PS - Note to the dude on the crotch rocket who was texting while navigating I-40 during rush hour - I fully expect you to win a Darwin award. I just hope you don't take anyone with you!!!

Great job on the running. Have a great 7 miler this weekend and a happy 4th.
That dude definitely qualifies for a Darwin. Texting on a crotch rocket? Can we say dumbass who likes to live dangeously
YAY!!! Great to hear about the running breakthroughs.
And the motorcycle guy is certainly deserving of that award. Jeez, how stupid!!
Getting in groove while running is awesome. I love the music transitions. I can get lost in the music while I run. Slow and steady.... it is my pace.
Very cool to read about these breakthroughs! Keep at it girl!
Yay for no walk breaks! You're going to ROCK the SF half!
I so need to find my running mo-jo!! Ya that you have it!
I'd say you're doing awesome!! Glad your iPod song took away any panic. No need to panic, you will be prepared :-)
LOL about the TM'ing. Genius!!
I hope to soon be able to say that about the run being a short one. Keep up the good work
San Fran here we come!!!! There is nothing wrong with slow and steady!!! As long as you finish-that's my motto!!
