Sad, Sad, Sad Football News

One of my favorite players - Steve McNair, former quarterback for the Titans - is dead. He was found shot to death this afternoon in downtown Nashville. I am soooooo sad - for his wife and four sons, and for us - the fans who were inspired by him. He was so young. Murder is unfathomable. I am so sad. RIP #9.

I'll be back later. Soon. And I promise to post about all the things I was going to post about: losing my oomph at the halfway mark of my tri season, the ongoing weight watching, summer fun with sweet kids and crazy dogs (or is that the other way around?), and my new career path. I look forward to catching up with everyone! I have been reading some even if I haven't been commenting. Y'all are crazy, racing superstars. Your race reports are about the only thing motivating me right now. Peace!

TODAY I LOVE: remembering the Music City Miracle and all the other times I cheered my heart out for the Titans when they were led by Steve McNair!!!

So many rumors on the news right now! As season ticket holders from day 1, we were shocked and saddened by the news. He was a fixture in this town. He will be missed!

...And yes, we used to drive from Nashville to Memphis just to see him play while the stadium was being built. I just hate it.

I've hit a motivational road block too. Each workout feels like a chore and a drag and too big of a production.

Thank goodness Tony is doing my long brick with me tomorrow. I'm already packed and ready for it AND going to enjoy the fireworks tonight.

It's so freaking hot here now that we need to be wheels down rolling by no later than 6am . . . .

Peace! Cheers!

Somehow I am feeling the same way about loosing my oomph halfway through the season. Hope it clears up for both of us!

Was very shocked and saddened to hear the news on McNair. Hope his loved ones, and fans, are able to make peace and move on.
Good luck with the new career path and the difficult workout path. One step at a time and it usually works out!
Take care,
The Kid
