Lingering Issues

Thing One: I biked on the trainer today. For an hour. That is the first real training I've done other than push ups since Thanksgiving morning. The first twenty minutes were ok, the middle twenty sucked big time, and the last twenty were only ok because the end was in sight. I've been trying to time it right getting back into training. I'm never quite sure how to figure out if I'm at the point where a good workout will burn out the last lingering chest/throat ickiness or if it will bring on a relapse. I feel great so I'm hoping I guessed correctly this time!

Thing Two: "Savor the good bites; choke down the necessary bad ones. Don't confuse the two." This is another life lesson I've realized I need to work on! I've caught myself gulping when I should be savoring and holding on when I should be letting go as quickly as possible. Biking helps me take the time to sort out which is which. Yay for training.

Wow, an hour on the trainer is awesome! And I need to work on that Thing Two myself. Thanks for the reminder.

An hour on the trainer is torture for me....much like an hour on a treadmill. Good job. And best wishes sorting out what to savor and what to choke down per your analogy. :-)

Great job, especially because an hour can seem like forever!

Just noticed you updated the counter on the side. Very cool...looks like your trainer ride will put some in the bank for that.

Yay indeed for training! Good on you too for sticking it out on the trainer. One minute seems to equal ten I've found.

You'll know when you've really shaken off that cold. Hang in there until then!
