Manic Monday

Since we last blogged -
  • There have been several WICKED storms in Chapel Hill. We lost power for part of two different days. And we lost a tree.
  • We missed seeing Venus win Wimbledon (see above item) and we about missed a dinner party (not to mention almost having coronaries) watching Rafa beat Roger (finally!). God I LOVE tennis.
  • I ran 7 (SEVEN!!) miles by myself. Walk breaks only for water and shot bloks and I maintained a 12:30 pace! Woo hoo! I've never run that far before. I had 14 miles for the week. Me! Running fourteen miles in one week.
  • We are in the middle of an ELABORATE birthday celebration for John - with secret agent identities, missions, clues and maps and all kinds of fun.
Pictures to follow!

Way too go!

You did half of your week in one day!

That is impressive.

Keep up the good work!

Great job on the 7 miler!

Bummer about the outages. We used to get those regularly when I was a kid living in northern Nevada.

Birthday celebration sounds like it's going to be FUN! Can't wait for pics.

I actually hate watching tennis, but the end of that game was hard to miss - it was soooo exciting...

Well done on the running - personal milestones always feel good..

Sounds like fun (the birthday). Congrats on the fourteen miles. That is huge! We had a storm come through here last night. 3600 lightning strikes per hour. We were deluged. Trees down all over the neighborhood.

Just another summer day in the South :-)
