I get really distracted by bubbles during pool workouts. I love them. Maybe not to this degree:
But close! I love to see the tiny path of bubbles made by my hand spearing into the water. I work to blow my air all the way out in big bubbles underwater so I have room in my lungs when I turn my head up to breathe. I like seeing the bubbles from others swimmers feet, especially during flip turns. Bubbles wiggle wildly up, shushing by quietly. Out on the pool deck it's all loud and echo-y, but once you start swimming...silence. Or the next best thing - just the sound of you and the bubbles, man. Can you tell I had a good swim workout at o'dark thirty?
